VeraCapt – Proof of Real Capture. VeraCapt proves that a photo or video captured a real scene at a real moment. Each capture receives a proof with a stated level; an independent witness device raises the level. Proofs are checked by an open, free verifier – offline and without VeraCapt's involvement. VeraCapt is developed by Comcentra IT-Consulting GmbH, Wuppertal, Germany, and is patent pending.
