Construction draws and remote acceptance

Concealed work, progress claims, remote acceptance – proven before it is covered.

The problem

Why the recording is the weak point

Reinforcement before the pour. Insulation before the drywall. Pipework before the screed. Once covered, the only evidence is a photo somebody took – or says they took.

Progress payments are released on those photos. The party paying is usually the financing bank, not the contractor.

Scenario

Progress claim on a financed build

Capture

The site manager records the concealed work. A second device on site – the surveyor's, the client's – witnesses the capture.

Proof

The site diary entry carries a proof: real site, real moment, complete recording, both parties present.

Decision

The bank releases the draw against proven progress. Later disputes about what was under the concrete are settled by the record, not by memory.

What the proof establishes

The proof shows
  • What was there before it was covered.
  • When it was there.
  • Who was present.
  • That the recording was not edited afterwards.
Who decides and pays

Financing banks, project owners, insurers of construction risk; contractors benefit from faster draws.

Typical level

Witnessed for concealed work and acceptance, Certified for public or high-value projects.
